 is an anticholinergic medicine. Hysomide has many effects in the body including decreasing the secretion of fluids, slowing the stomach and intestines, and dilation of the pupils.

Hysomide is used to relieve nausea, vomiting, and dizziness associated with motion sickness and recovery from anesthesia and surgery. Hysomide may also be used in the treatment of parkinsonism, spastic muscle states, irritable bowel syndrome, diverticulitis, and other conditions.

How should I use Hysomide?

Use Hysomide as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.

Take Hysomide by mouth with or without food.

If you miss a dose of Hysomide, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Hysomide Indications

GIT spasm, spasm & dyskinesia of the biliary system, GUT spasm. Irritable bowel syndrome. Amp Acute GI, biliary & genito-urinary spasm, including biliary & renal colic. As an aid in diagnostic & therapeutic procedures where spasm may be a problem eg gastroduodenal endoscopy & radiology.

Hysomide Uses

This medication is used to widen the pupils for eye examination or eye surgery. It is also used to decrease pain and swelling from an inflammation of the eye (iridocyclitis). It belongs to a class of drugs known as anticholinergics. Hysomide works by blocking the effects of a certain natural chemical (acetylcholine) on certain eye muscles, causing relaxation of these muscles. This effect causes the pupil to widen and the lens to temporarily lose the ability to focus. Hysomide decreases pain in eye inflammation by relaxing the eye muscles.
