Mechanism of action of Gliclazide
Gliclazide Lowers The Blood Glucose Level By Improving The Insulin Secretion From The Functioning Beta Cells Of The Pancreas.

Drug Interaction of Gliclazide
Gliclazide May Interact With Sulfonamide Antibiotics, Blood Thinners, Antidepressants, Aspirin, Propranolol, Rifampin, Phenylbutazone, Disopyramide, Probenecid, Clofibrate, Steroids, Oral Contraceptives, Cimetidine, Miconazole, Fluconazole, Beta-blockers, Danazol, Chlorpromazine, Glucocorticoids, Ritodrine, Salbutamol And Terbutaline. Always Consult Your Physician For The Change Of Dose Regimen Or An Alternative Drug Of Choice That May Strictly Be Required.

Side effects of Gliclazide
Hypoglycaemia (fall In Blood Glucose Level), Jaundice Or Liver Dysfunction, Rashes, Angioedema (rapid Swelling Of Tissues Such As Eyelids, Face, Lips, Mouth, Or Tongue), Decrease In The Number Of Cells In The Blood (e.g. Platelets, Red And White Blood Cells), Stomach Pain, Diarrhea, Indigestion And Headache.
