is used to treat mild to moderate dementia caused by Alzheimer's disease.
Typical use Of Donepezil Hydrochloride :
Induction Of General Anaesthesia, Mild To Moderately Severe Dementia In Alzheimer's Disease.
Mechanism of action of Donepezil Hydrochloride :
Donepezil Produces Reversible Inhibition Of Cholinesterases (eg. Acetylcholinesterase), Which Prevents The Hydrolysis Of Acetycholine, And Leads To An Increased Concentration Of Acetylcholine At Cholinergic Synapses.
Drug Interaction of Donepezil Hydrochloride :
Donepezil Is Known To Interact With Other Drugs Like Acepromazine, Aceprometazine, Amantadine, Brompheniramine, Chlorpheniramine, Chlorpromazine, Desipramine, Dicyclomine, Ethopropazine, Orphenadrine, Perphenazine, Prochlorperazine, Trimeprazine, Tripelennamine. Always Consult Your Physician For The Change Of Dose Regimen Or An Alternative Drug Of Choice That May Strictly Be Required.
Side effects of Donepezil Hydrochloride :
Dizziness, Headache, Fatigue, Anorexia, Diarrhea, Insomnia, Rashes, Confusion, Pruritus, Hallucination, Psychiatric Disturbance, Urinary Incontinence, Nausea And Vomiting, Muscle Cramps, Syncope.
